Everyone was preoccupied with their own thoughts, except for Orson, who seemed utterly unperturbed.

Previously, their entire family had been locked up by Phineas, but now that her uncle, father, and brothers had all escaped, there didn't seem to be any reason to worry.

Attorney Wesley looked around at the group, who were now settled and calm, and nodded. "Alright, let's discuss what our next steps should be. Do any of you know how Stuart is doing?"

Matthew shook his head. "Jack and Fletcher went to replace him, but we haven't heard anything yet."

In that remote area, there was no cell signal, and the skies were often shrouded in mist, so even regular signal flares might not be visible.

They hadn't received any updates from their contacts on the outside, so the situation remained unclear.

Attorney Wesley frowned. "Until Stuart returns, it's up to you to ensure

Morwenna's safety."

Matthew and Brian didn't protest this time.

Claude didn't object either, realizing he couldn't protect Morwenna alone.

Seeing no disagreement, Attorney Wesley laid out the plan.

"I'll hold onto Morwenna's will for a while. If nothing unexpected happens, Phineas and his group will come looking soon."

"Matthew and Brian, you need to take Morwenna and leave. Orson will stay with Claude to create the illusion that Morwenna is still here."

"Claude, you know they'll do anything when pushed for their own gain. Your place

is the first line of defense-stall them as long as you can."

Claude glanced at Morwenna with calm eyes and nodded. "I understand."

Attorney Wesley then turned to Brian and Matthew.

Brian, with a hint of irritation, replied, "Got it, got it. We'll keep an eye on this woman, alright?"

Claude stood up abruptly. "Show some respect to Ms. Winslet!"

"And if I don't, what are you going to do? Are you going to hit me?"

"Do you want to try me?"

Matthew quickly stepped between them. "Calm down, both of you. This isn't the time for fighting."

Attorney Wesley gave them a stern look, and silence fell over the room once more.

Morwenna and Orson's wounds had been tended to.

Suddenly, the usually quiet Morwenna spoke up, "My friend Lorna Lamont is still with the Hetfield family. Phineas won't let her leave. I hope you can replace a way to get Lorna out safely."

None of this was Lorna's fault; she was only caught up in it because she tried to help Morwenna. Regardless of what happened, Morwenna wanted Lorna to return to school safely.

Matthew chimed in immediately, "The Lamont family is reasonable. Given the situation, since you've already left the family home, Phineas doesn't need to keep her there. A discussion should suffice to get Lorna released. Phineas doesn't have the bandwidth for another battle with the Lamonts right now."

Brian added, "If Phineas refuses, I'll contact the Lamont family directly to intervene."

The group turned serious as they discussed the matter.

Finally, Orson waved to Morwenna with a hearty smile. "Mrs. Hetfield, take care of yourself. Don't worry, I'll be right here. Phineas and his crew will think you're still here, and I won't let them set foot inside."

A warmth flickered in Morwenna's eyes, and she waved back at Orson. "Thank you, Orson. Take care."

Morwenna felt everyone was changing, including herself. But looking at Orson, she saw someone who remained steadfast and true.
