It was truly perplexing. Dexter had never understood what went through Angela's head before. He'd completely ignored Angela before, showing no interest in getting to know her.

Yet now, he could understand her effortlessly with a mere glance or gesture. They'd come a long way indeed. It was astonishing.

As they approached Bamford Manor, the sound of laughter filled the air. Trevor was entertaining Natalie and Joseph.

"Angela, you're finally here. Come and sit here." Natalie waved excitedly as she spotted Angela. The latter was taken aback by Natalie's warm tone but still sat down out of respect for her.

Joseph came downstairs. He wore his glasses, indicating he'd clearly preoccupied with work in the study.

He rushed down and shot an accusatory glare at Angela. "How could you? You haven't been here in days. You're so heartless and clearly don't care about me."

"Grandpa, I've been really busy, but I came as soon as I could. Please don't be angry. Let me massage your legs and back." Angela smiled brightly as she helped Joseph sit down.

Joseph laughed and patted her hand. "You always tease me and make me happy."

They were having a good time, but Natalie felt ignored. She remarked unhappily, "Angela is only paying attention to you and completely ignoring me."

Angela felt embarrassed and awkward. She was at a loss. In fact, she liked Joseph but didn't want to be close to Natalie, who had previously annoyed her.

Despite her feelings, she knew she needed to act friendly. After a moment of contemplation, she approached Natalie with a warm smile. "Grandma, why don't I give you a back massage as well?"

Natalie smiled and glanced at Dexter next to her.

Meanwhile, Trevor was being very well-behaved. He quietly went to the kitchen to help serve fruit and snacks.

As expected, today's meals were all of Angela's favorites, especially the orange chicken. After she took two extra bites, the others left their food untouched for her.

Halfway through the meal, Joseph suddenly presented an exquisite jewelry box. "Angie, I brought this bracelet back for you from my recent overseas trip."

Angela was stunned.

Joseph opened the box to reveal an exquisite emerald bracelet adorned with delicate floating green flowers Bathed in the radiant glow of grandorystal chandelier, the bracelet appeared as if it were submerged in a serene river, its vibrant colors and graceful forms coming to life.

Just a glance was enough to tell that this was no ordinary piece. It was a priceless treasure.

Angela owned several pieces of jewelry, but none captured her heart quite like this stunning bracelet, which enchanted her at first glance.

"What do you think? Do you like it?" Joseph noticed the sparkle in her eyes and felt a surge of pride.

Angela nodded and smiled brightly. "Grandpa, why are you so kind to me? This bracelet must have cost a fortune. How can I possibly accept such a gift?"

Despite her words, she instinctively took over the bracelet and examined it closely.

Joseph felt relieved and happy seeing her enjoy it. "I'm glad you like it. I was worried you wouldn't."

Angela replied, "Thank you, Grandpa. You're the best. I'll put it on now and keep it

on."

She was completely absorbed in the

joy that the bracelet brought her.

Yet, she was unaware that one

across the round table was

watching her with a smirk.
