Sara stepped aside and allowed Nadia to go out to take people’s data, some congratulated Sara for her decision, while others cursed her and complained, among them Andrea, when she saw that she had no chance she was about to leave, but before getting in the car she noticed that her assistant had stayed behind.

“What are you doing Beatriz, come on, these people are not worthy of my presence, I don’t want to stay one more second here”.

Beatriz was a shy girl, submissive by nature she always obeyed Andrea in everything, she considered her a friend and family, but she had always been interested in cooking, even though she had never considered it for work, cooking was her little obsession.

When Sara said that anyone who loved cooking might have a chance, her eyes lit up and she thought maybe she could give it a try, since this would be her only chance.

“I’d like to give it a try” she spoke fearfully.

“You seriously think a simple assistant like you has any chance, don’t be delusional” Andrea scoffed.

“Stop dreaming and come on, your place is behind me getting coffee and taking my calls”.

Beatriz’s eyes filled with tears, she knew Andrea was ruthless, but she hoped that with her she would be a little more considerate, she had been by her side for 2 years indulging her every whim. She could not understand why he treated her this way. With her dreams shattered she was about to get into the car when Sara who had been paying attention to the whole scene called out to her.

“Hey girl, don’t you want to give it a try?”.

Beatriz was happy in her heart of hearts, but she knew she couldn’t offend Andrea or she would be out of a job, after all it wasn’t certain she would pass the audition.

“Thank you very much Miss Sara, but I don’t think I have time.” she replied without daring to look up from the floor. Then she got into the car and drove off with Andrea.

Sara and Nadia finished collecting the data and returned to the Villa. They had already been auditioning for a week, every day she tasted the food of eight strangers and it was always delicious, but it was not what Sara was looking for, she was looking for a different taste, something new, innovative, that matched her goal, her personality, that had her mark.
