Chapter 41:.

Before entering the villa, Sara took one last look at Andrea’s car as she drove off, she hated people who mistreated their employees, then she kept walking, but before she got there she said to Nadia.

“You have Chef Andrea’s number don’t you?”

“Yes ma’am, but you’re not thinking of giving her a chance, are you?”

“No, I heard that the other girl is her assistant, so she will be the first one to take the calls, call her in a while and make her a shift for tomorrow and if her food is not good offer her to be your assistant after all we have a ton of work, you can’t handle everything alone.”

“That’s fine ma’am, but you should remember that you won’t be able to help everyone all the time.”

Sara smiled, it was not a long time that she and Nadia had been together, but Nadia already knew her perfectly well and could see through her actions the true meaning.

The girls entered the Villa and continued with their work, but that day Sara didn’t get what she was looking for either, while Nadia managed to talk to Beatriz and offer her an audition.

Beatriz twenty-four hours before would have refused to go against Andrea, she would always obey what her boss asked her, but today when they were leaving the villa in the car. Andrea went all the way mocking Beatriz and, she told her that she would always be a good for nothing, that she could not aspire to anything more than a simple assistant and that she had gotten there because being her cousin she had appeared from her, but that if they were not family she would never have accepted an inept assistant.

Beatriz was aware that she had given her the job because they were family, but her pride was hurt after listening to Andrea and the reason why she was her assistant was discovered some time later, and it was that nobody wanted to work with Andrea, all of them quit before the month because they could not stand her, only she had been by her side for so long.

For all these reasons when Beatriz received the call from Nadia she accepted to go to the auditions, after all she had nothing to lose, she sent a message to Andrea and asked for the day off, she told her that she had a cold.

Beatriz thought all night about the dish she should prepare, she couldn’t replace the right one, she knew that many chefs had already auditioned and Sara had rejected them all, it must be that she was looking for something specific not only a good taste. Thinking about this Beatriz went to bed, she had made the decision to make something of her own, not to be guided by the recipes of the rest.

At eight o’clock the next morning Beatriz was the first to arrive at the villa, not even Nadia had arrived yet, Sara had been awake since four o’clock drawing a feasible business plan and calculating the investment she needed for her project, when she came down from her studio on the third floor she was heading to her room to take a bath and get ready when she saw Beatriz standing nervously in the living room.

“Good morning” Sara greeted her “excuse my condition I wasn’t expecting anyone yet”.

Beatriz looked at her and saw that she was referring to her sleepwear, it was a two piece cartoon pajama top. Beatriz knew Sara was the wife of an important president, the few times she had seen her on the internet or in person she had an elegant attire, of a serious and working woman, she did not expect her in private to dress like a teenager.

“Good morning ma’am, sorry it was my fault for coming so early.” she replied nervously without looking up from the floor, Sara walked down the stairs and walked beside her.

“I’m Sara a pleasure.” Beatriz saw that she extended her hand and quickly answered the greeting.

“The pleasure is mine ma’am, I’m Beatriz Rabino I came to test for the chef position.”

“YES, I know, but the tests start at ten o’clock, that’s why no one else has arrived yet.”

“I’m sorry ma’am, I forgot because of my nerves, I’m leaving, I’m flying later.” apologized Beatriz nervously and was about to leave when Sara called her.

“Wait.”

Beatriz stopped and turned to see Sara “since you are here don’t leave, besides I have an idea, why don’t we better not advance your test, I haven’t eaten anything yet, you can prepare breakfast for me”. Sara didn’t wait for an answer and took Beatriz by the hand dragging her towards the main kitchen.

“Come on I will introduce you to Carmen, she is my cook, she can give you what you need, but she can’t help you, no cheating.”

Sara took Beatriz to the kitchen and Carmen helped her look for the ingredients for breakfast, then Sara left them alone and went to bathe and get ready.

Carmen showed Beatriz where everything was and after getting her ready she left her alone.

Sara’s bath was long enough to give Beatriz time to prepare breakfast. When she thought it would be ready she got dressed and went downstairs, she had planned to go straight to the kitchen but a sweet smell took her to the living room.

The table was full of food, there was an omelet with potatoes, orange juice, toast with bread and jam, pancakes, churros, cut fruits decorating a plate and many other things.

Sara loved what she saw, but she waited to taste the food before having an opinion, these last days she had seen and tasted very beautiful and delicious food, but none of them had what she was looking for.

Sara looked for Beatriz with her eyes, but she didn’t see her around, so she decided to sit down and try all those delicacies. The first taste of the egg and potato omelet exploded in her mouth like an orgasm, she was savoring every bite when Nadia came in and was surprised to see so much food near Sara, in the short time she had been by her side she had learned that Sara didn’t usually eat breakfast and when she did she ate very little.

“You have to try this” Sara told her as she approached Nadia with a spoon full of food.

Nadia tasted and was also surprised at the flavor, it was something simple to prepare but all the ingredients combined together. The taste was unique and very different from the rest of the dishes they had tasted days before.

Beatriz entered the room with a tray of salad in her hands, she was surprised to see Sara and Nadia with the dish in their hands and feared that they would not like it but Sara’s next words made her fear be replaced by excitement.

“You’re hired.”
