When Sara walked away from the reporters they looked for their new victim and all surrounded Hugo asking for explanations about what his wife had just said.

The speech had been broadcast live from the restaurant account, Nadia had done it at Sara’s request, so in those moments everyone was judging Hugo and pointing him out as a womanizer for cheating on the three women.

From a corner Sara saw him surrounded by journalists and smiled victoriously. Hugo remained calm and took the microphone.

“I know that right now everyone is confused by my wife’s statements, so now it is up to me to give my version of the facts. It is true that I had a relationship with the model Nina before my marriage and what my wife said is also the truth, she was not aware of this, our marriage was arranged by my grandfather, so at the beginning I did not agree, but after meeting the wonderful woman my grandfather had chosen I could not be more satisfied and I broke off my relationship with Nina.

As for Angelín there was never any formal engagement agreement, we have known each other since we were children and at some point our families being friends talked about joining us in marriage, but as you know my mother became Angelín’s stepmother and that was as far as our supposed engagement went, this is a story from the past that I don’t like to talk about or remember, so I ask you to please forget it and let all that behind us.

As Sara said, we are now married and she is the only Mrs. Moretti, as well as the only woman I love. Hugo ended his speech raising his glass and postponing a toast to his wife.

The reporters were pleased with the couple’s answers, as were the internet users, after all they were a loving married couple who supported each other. The criticism against them ceased and the atmosphere calmed down, everyone was enjoying the evening, as well as the delicious food prepared by Beatriz.

Sara smiled at the irony of Hugo’s words, that he loved her, trust, she could not believe that this man was so shameless and hard-faced.

Sara was aware that he would know how to get out of that situation quickly, but she didn’t count on him talking about his supposed love, when the two were just waiting for the opportunity to get divorced.

Hugo approached her with slow, confident steps as he pretended to smell the wine and in reality what he was doing was hiding behind the glass a mocking smile.

“What did you think of my speech?” he asked Sara when he reached her.

“I thought it sounded kind of hypocritical if we’re being honest.” he answered her after making sure no one was around and could hear them.

“I don’t see why it had to sound hypocritical to you, the words came from the bottom of my heart.”

“Enough pretending, you don’t have a heart, you don’t love me like assuring you a few minutes ago. They are all lies.”

“That you can’t know, maybe it’s true.”

“Sure, just as it is also true that you supported me in this project in the hope that everything would turn out well, or that you believe and trust in my abilities. The only thing you want is to see me fall and you always do everything possible to ruin me, there is still a possibility that all this mess today on the Internet was put together by you so that my Inauguration would be a failure.”

“How can you be so silly, don’t you see that it affected me too, those scandals only tarnish my image and that of the company, that’s why I never agreed to make my identity known or give interviews.”

“Yes sir” replied Nadia, but she continued to stand behind Sara.

“It’s either you didn’t hear me or you’re deaf. I said you’re fired get the hell out of here.”

“You may be firing her because you hired her, but now Nadia works for me and she’s not going anywhere, but if you want you can leave.”

Sara and Nadia turned their backs on him and went to attend to the guests. Hugo stood in the same place thinking of various ways to kill her, after all if he did that he didn’t need to fight to get a divorce, if he killed her he would become a widower and all his problems would be solved.
