When he met her he had no intentions of seeing her again but to his bad luck his father had found out how he had rejected the redhead and found out who the girl was with whom Marias was supposedly dating and was delighted with what he discovered , upon learning that it was Emily the daughter of a good family, he began to insist again with the marriage and threatened to disinherit him and put his younger brother as the successor of everything.

It was not the first time his father did that kind of thing, so Matthias simply ignored it, but when he met Emily again at the hospital, he saw her so beautiful that he began to consider marrying her, after all it would be no sacrifice to sleep every night next to such a woman.

The next morning Emily and Martin met at the agreed place, Emily wore a knee length high neck dress that fit her curves well,

Martin saw her as she entered sitting elegantly sipping a cup of coffee, he smiled as he pictured her as his wife, if they were to have children together they would be blessed with good looks.

“You’re late.” was Emily’s greeting, Martin looked at his watch and saw it was five minutes past nine.

“It’s only five minutes.” he smiled at her as he took a seat.

“Yes, it’s five minutes that I could have spent on something or someone more important.”

“I don’t think you should talk to your future husband like that.”

“That’s just what I wanted to talk to you about.” began Emily, but Martin interrupted her before she continued.

“If you summoned me here to deny you, I must tell you that I don’t plan to stop until I make you my wife.”

“You’re wrong, I came to set the terms of marriage.” Martin was stunned to hear this and did not know what to say.

“I am going to marry you but we will divorce after a year, you are going to help my family in everything to do with business, but you and I will only be husband and wife in name only.”

“What makes you think I’ll agree to something like that.”

“From what I heard that night, your family is pressuring you to get married, that’s why you will accept my conditions, this way we both win, I help my family and you get rid of your father’s constant complaints.”

“Okay, but on one condition, instead of having a year to get divorced, how about if we have a year to fall in love, if in this time feelings are born between us, we will stay together”.

Emily did not hesitate and accepted, sure of herself and that it was impossible for her to fall in love with a man like him, after all before she had fully trusted another man and after years of relationship he cheated on her, she would not trust again so soon in another man, one year would not be enough for her to fall in love, so she would only have to wait a year to divorce and move on with her life.
