Chapter 8:.

Martin and Eduardo looked at Hugo quizzically at his comment and he in a quick impartial voice was quick to correct.

“She’s not your type, I mean, she looks unfeminine, you like delicate women.”

“You see how you know me my friend” Martin replied, believing his explanation and smiling.

Edward on the other hand was not entirely convinced, but said nothing. The three of them continued their way to the VIP area and before entering Hugo took one last look at the girl who was talking to the security who had gone to calm the situation.

After the security team removed Oscar, Sara and Emily returned to their table. And they continued drinking and chatting, trying to forget what had happened.

“Let’s toast ” proposed Emily “to getting the shit out of our lives”.

“To getting the shit out of our lives” repeated Sara.

A while later, Sara felt the need to go to the bathroom, when she was about to enter with her hand on the door she heard voices inside.

“That one from a while ago, wasn’t that Sara, the best student of Business Management”.

“Yes, it was her, I heard yesterday she was caught spending the night with a man and it’s that she has a relationship with Tobias that everyone at the university knows about.”

“I don’t know how she has the nerve to go out again today and be drinking like it’s nothing.”

“You saw how she knocked that man down, I don’t know how a girl can give a scene like that, how indelicate.”

Sara tightened her grip on the lead and was about to get into an argument when she heard a seductive male voice.

“Do you also engage in eavesdropping behind doors?”

Sara said nothing, the man sounded vaguely familiar but she couldn’t tell exactly from where. Hugo noticed her hesitation and was offended that she didn’t remember him, but he didn’t let it show, instead indifferently he said.

“You don’t even remember me after you spent the night with me?

Sara turned red with embarrassment and did not know what to say. Hugo watched the woman silently and pulled a box of cigarettes from the inside pocket of his suit.

“Shall we go for a smoke?” he offered her a cigar.

She accepted and took the cigar in silence. They both walked silently out onto the balcony.

They stood for a few minutes smoking in silence, until Hugo spoke.

“It seems that everyone at your university already knows that you spent the night with me. How did your husband take it?” he asked.

“It’s none of your business.”

“I think, if it is, I’d like to be aware if anyone is planning anything against me.” Sara understood what he meant.

“No one knows who you are, or who I spend the night with, not even I do, so you have nothing to worry about. I would prefer that in the future we never meet again and if so please pretend you don’t know me.”

“Why do you have to be so rude to me?”

“Because I was unfaithful to my husband because of you.”

“You are a hypocrite the unfaithful one was you, not me, you even beat man down for cheating on your friend. That’s what you want your husband to do to you when he replaces out you cheated on him. Maybe you just brought all this up to get his attention.”

“You know what ” shouted Sara indignantly ” think whatever you want, I’m tired of listening to what others think about me, I’m leaving, I hope I don’t have the misfortune of meeting you again”.

She turned her back to Hugo and left, he was left smoking with a smile on his face.

Sara returned to the table in a terrible bad mood, her aura was dark just like her face, Tobias immediately knew something had happened.

“Is everything all right?”

“Everything is perfect ” Sara answered curtly to avoid further questions, but Tobias didn’t catch it.

“You don’t seem fine, if it’s because of college gossip I want you to know that I don’t believe it and if they are actually true that’s not going to change our friendship.”

“Thank you for supporting me Tobias and yes it is true, I spent the night with a man last night ” and raising her voice she shouted ” Yes dear world, I am not perfect”.

In one fell swoop she downed all the drink she had in tears, took Tobias’ glass from him and drank his.

Hugo returned to the VIP room and Martin greeted him with two beautiful blondes.

“Look Hugo, all for you, happy return to the city.”

“No thanks I have to leave, I have a lot of work to do tomorrow.”

Finishing saying this he nodded to Eduardo and left the room.

“Hugo’s a bit strange today isn’t he?” said Martin to Eduardo.

“Yes, I noticed that too.” replied Eduardo thoughtfully.

“It must be because of the return of Sofía and Angelín, there are wounds that never heal.

“Maybe” replied Eduardo, but his institution told him that it had nothing to do with them.

Hugo left the bar and when he was about to get into his car he saw two girls sitting in a corner.

Emily was lying with her head on Sara’s legs looking at the sky, while Sara was playing with her hair. Emily said something about the stars and the moon and pointed to the sky and Sara looked up at the moon and smiled, she looked beautiful when she smiled. Hugo took out his cell phone, put the camera and with the zoom cut Emily and left Sara looking at the moon and laughing and took a picture. At that moment a car arrived and the two girls got in leaving Hugo standing with his car door open, smiling and looking at the sky.
