Two years later

Hugo was sitting in his office with his eyes closed resting, while the TV was on and they were showing the news. The journalist was talking non-stop, moving from one news item to the next.

“And on the business side we must talk about the new company that in such a short time is sweeping almost every industry, mainly in art and technology.

The Sapphire Company has crept into every part of our daily lives, we have them present in every moment of the day, from the new smart phones, to the most important actors, musicians, painters and writers.

In just two years Sapphire has earned its well-deserved places in the top five companies in the country, since they started trading on the stock exchange their shares have reached incredible prices.

And if we mention Zafiro we have to mention the brilliant mind behind this miracle and she is none other than Sara de Santis, ex-wife of the President of the Moretti Group, many of us wonder how the handsome President let such a woman slip through his fingers…”

The program was interrupted when an ashtray crashed against the TV screen.

Hugo was tired, stressed and angry, he thought that once he divorced Sara he could forget her and move on, but to his bad luck he could only rest for a couple of months, soon Sara’s face appeared in all the magazines, TV shows, it seemed that she had made her debut in show business, but the truth was that everyone wanted to know more about the figure behind Sapphire’s success.

Until recently no one knew about the company, and one day overnight the name began to appear everywhere, it turns out that while they were married Sara had founded the company in secret with friends from the University.

They went step by step, keeping a low profile, until Sara divorced and focused all her attention on the company.

The two of them had never met again, because in spite of frequenting the same business world, they both avoided each other, they tried not to appear in the same events and if, by chance, one arrived the other left, in two years they had not met face to face, but Hugo was more than tired of seeing Sara’s face and hearing about her.

To finish off his little sanity, a rumor began to circulate on the Internet, they said that the CEO of Sapphire was in love with Sara and that he was courting her.

Hugo paid no attention to the gossip, but he soon learned that the CEO was none other than José, so this did not make Hugo very happy and lately his mood had become very somber.

As for Sara, she had achieved what she had always dreamed of, she had her company and it was getting better every day, she had achieved everything she wanted, but in the mornings she kept looking at her phone hoping that he had written her.

For two long years she focused exclusively on work, until José confessed his feelings, Sara only saw him as a friend and she let him know it, but he told her that he would make her fall in love with him, but to her bad luck all the romantic gestures he had with her only made Sara think about Hugo and everything he had done to be with her, Sara blamed herself for losing him and made a decision.
