Chapter 85:

Hugo blushed again when he heard her speak, his heart was beating so fast that it almost came out of his chest, he remained molted, the words didn’t come out of his mouth, he didn’t know what to say.

Sara smiled with satisfaction to see them like that, he looked adorable, human, not the cold and rigid president he liked to appear.

“I will consider your proposal and present it to the board, but don’t expect them to be too fond of you after the way you treated them yesterday” she said standing up and walking towards the door to leave.

“Don’t worry about them, I’ll take care of them.”

Sara assured. Before walking out the door Hugo remembered something and looked at her.

“Where’s Martin, why didn’t he come?”.

“He’s fine, he’s at home. It had to do me some good that my best friend had married him.”

Hugo understood then, Emily must have done something to make Martin not attend the luncheon and informed Sara. Hugo left cursing his wife’s intelligence.

Martin for his part had been married to Emily for a year and a half, six months ago she had begun to insist on a divorce, despite everything he tried to make her fall in love nothing had worked, they lived under the same roof, but in separate rooms, in eighteen months of marriage he had not been able to touch her even once.

He was about to become a monk, that day when he was leaving the office to meet Hugo he received a message from his wife, where she told him that maybe today he would have the opportunity to be with her.

Martin did not think twice and left his friend abandoned and ran home to see his wife, to his bad luck, Emily, was drunk and in that state he did not dare to do anything to her, so he stayed to take care of his wife while his friend was ambushed.

When Hugo arrived at the company he immediately called poor Alejandro.

“Why didn’t you tell me that Sara’s business plan was fifty-fifty, plus they were taking the risks?”.

“I told him it was a good offer sir, that he should review Sara’s proposal.”

“Sara? How dare you call your boss’s wife by her name? Watch your words if you don’t want to be out on the street.”

Alejandro didn’t know what to say, that same morning he told her not to call her ma’am and now he couldn’t tell her Sara, who understood his boss, was going crazy.

“Excuse me sir.”

She tried to calm him down and then an idea occurred to her,

“I will never call Mrs. Moretti that again.”

Alexander kept silent waiting for his boss’s reaction, Hugo said nothing and almost even smiled, he liked to hear that Sara was still Mrs. Moretti.

“It’s okay, you can leave.”

When Alejandro left the office he let out a sigh and could finally breathe again, it was so overwhelming to satisfy his boss, the things poor people had to do in order to make money. She stopped thinking about her boss’s drama and got to work.

When Sara returned to the office she was happy and Nadia knew the meeting had gone well, a few minutes later Sara called her and said she needed a favor.

“Of course you do ma’am, I will do whatever you ask, my mother is fine thanks to you, I will never forget what you did and continue to do for her looking for the best specialists.”

“Stop thinking about that, I don’t want you to pay me anything, I did it because you are a good employee and I only asked for your loyalty, that for me is enough, instead now I have a plan and I need your help.”
