Chapter 91:.

Sara listened carefully to Nadia’s whole story while she caressed the paper on her legs, she couldn’t feel more blessed to have someone like that by her side, she hugged and kissed her until poor Nadia felt uncomfortable and left. Sara felt so happy that she had to share her happiness, she looked for a matchstick lit it and put candle to the paper and then took a selfi, she sent it to Hugo with a little message.

Casual here, garbage removed.

Hugo had been in a very bad mood all day, it had been bad situation after bad situation and when he thought he was finally going to have a minute of peace his phone rang notifying a message, it was an unknown number, a short message with a picture, Hugo looked at the image of the paper burning and did not understand why someone would send him that, then the header caught his attention, he zoomed in on the image and read that it said DIVORCE AGREEMENT he ran a little trying to read the names but one had already been burned, only his with his signature Hugo Moretti was left.

Hugo’s hands clenched the phone tightly and then slammed it against the wall. That woman, that damn woman was setting out to drive him crazy and he would not give her the pleasure of seeing her win again, this was a game he already knew and he would not lose again. So if she wanted to play, that was fine, he was going to oblige her.

Hugo pulled out his phone and called Alejandro.

“I want you to spread the word that I’m looking for a wife and start setting me up on blind dates, every day.” he told him by way of greeting.

“Ok.” replied Alejandro and hung up.

He was on his date with Nadia he looked at her and said, “I think now my boss has gone crazy”.

“I think we’re going to have a lot of problems now.” replied Nadia who had been listening to the conversation. They both raised their drinks and drank to the bottom, preparing for the storm that was coming.

The next morning when Sara woke up she discovered a shocking news, the President of the Moretti Group was looking for a wife, all the media was talking about it. Everyone had something to say about it, speculations about the unforeseen announcement began to abound on the Internet, while young girls all over the country were beaming with happiness and struggling to get a date with the acclaimed President.

Alone in her room Sara screamed with rage, that morning she took a cold shower and went for a run, she took a little longer than usual, looking for a solution to her problem, when she returned to the apartment Nadia was waiting for her with breakfast ready. Sara just said hello and went straight to the bathroom, she wasn’t ready to talk to anyone yet. The shower was quite long and when she finally came out she felt more prepared to face the situation.

“We need the list of all the possible candidates as well as the dates, we need to be there every time they are going to meet and ruin any hopes.” Nadia just nodded and they got ready for work.

A week later Alejandro sent Nadia the appointment schedule, as well as a list with the names of those selected in order of the most compatible with Hugo. Sara looked at the list and did not see any names known to good, they were all known to belong to good families and to be of high class, but she did not see the last ones she had met, she reviewed the list and started to plan how to get rid of them.

Hugo was calmly working, but days ago he felt a discomfort in his chest, he had made the announcement that he was looking for a wife to annoy Sara, foreseeing a tantrum from her, but nothing had happened yet, everything was quiet, too much for his taste, Sara had not given signs of life again and that was beginning to bother him, he knew her well enough to know that after the calm comes the storm and with her you never know what could happen, so Hugo felt uncomfortable constantly waiting for Sara’s movement.

Until she finally arrived, out of a total of twenty candidates she had chosen, ten cancelled mysteriously, seven had scandals that week and only three confirmed their appointment, Hugo knew without the need to investigate that Sara was behind all that, but evidently she had had someone’s help, and only one person knew the list of candidates, Sara had an infiltrator and it must be Alejandro, but Hugo could not understand why his faithful secretary would betray him. So he decided to set a trap in order to catch the rat.

If Alejandro was really collaborating with his ex-wife he would replace out and make him pay for betraying her trust. He took out his phone and sent a message to his secretary asking to bring forward the first date, Alejandro replied that he would take care of everything as usual and Hugo smiled mischievously, the cheese had already been put in the trap, it only remained to see if he could catch it.

Alejandro was in charge of preparing the date without knowing that all he was doing was preparing his own funeral, because if Hugo caught him helping Sara he would be in charge of ending his life.
