After Nadia and Alejandro left, Sara tried to talk to her husband and convince him that it was wrong to punish poor Alejandro, it took some time, but finally they reached an agreement, Alejandro would have to go only two days to the forced labor and then he could return to the company.

But Hugo forbade Sara to tell him, he wanted to keep him in agony as long as possible. As they were about to go up to their room they passed Emily and Martin.

“We were waiting for you all to leave so we could congratulate you” Emily said as she pulled away from Martin and hugged her friend. And whispered in his ear “You made it.”

“Thanks to you, thanks to the beautiful dress you made me, you should stop trying the corporate sector, you’re really good at the designer thing.”

“That’s just a hobby, but I’m glad you like it”.

“It looks divine, thank you very much for your help”.

Hugo interjected. However, Emily ignored him completely.

“I hope to see you soon, Beatriz will be back these days from her cooking conference, we all have to get together”.

“Of course” agreed Sara and after exchanging further words the couples parted.

Martin watched as his friend left with his wife as they kissed and hugged exchanging their affection and headed to their room to have a fun and romantic evening, while he was left with only a cold guest room waiting for him.

In his years of marriage, his wife had never allowed him to touch her, their relationship had never been affectionate, but they had become good friends, they dined together, shared jokes, went shopping, had built a home together.

After 2 years at Emily’s side, Martin had fallen in love, but she had never expressed any love interest in him and that hurt him.

They had agreed to divorce after 1 year together, but neither had ever brought up the subject again, and that gave Martin hope. But on nights like that Emily looked so beautiful and seductive in that red dress with her hair pulled back, exposing her beautiful neck; on nights like that.

Martin could only desire her, kiss her and make her his once and for all.

He had been faithful to her during their marriage, but for a man two years without sex was too long. As he thought about it Martin felt hot, so he apologized to Emily and told her he needed to go to the bathroom, she accepted with a smile, unaware of the lightning bolt he was sending to her crotch.

Martin walked away and Emily sat waiting for him at the hotel bar, by now all the guests had left and there was no one left on the rooftop. Emily had enjoyed the evening, her friend’s joy, Hugo’s face at the surprise, she didn’t hold a grudge against the President for what had happened with her friend, or maybe a little, but she was happy, to see them together.

As she savored her drink someone sat next to her, she smiled turning around, thinking it was Martin, but her smile faded when she saw her ex, Oscar sitting next to her.

“Were you expecting someone else?” he asked her seeing the change in her features.

“Yes, I am expecting my husband, so I beg you to leave, I don’t want to cause a misunderstanding.”

“Why would there be any misunderstanding? I know that your marriage was an arrangement between your families and that you don’t want it.”

“Really?”

Emily arched an eyebrow.

“I know you Emily, I was your first love, you were completely lost in me and a few months after breaking up you go and get married, I’m sure your family pressured you and I know you don’t care for him, no one has ever seen them show any signs of affection besides holding hands. With me you did a lot more things, even if it preserved your virginity we enjoyed exploring lots and lots of things.”

Emily turned red with embarrassment at hearing this and slapped him.

“I knew you were a low and creeping being, but I never thought so much, and since you care so much, no one forced me to marry, I did it because I wanted to and for you the only thing I feel is disgust.”
