She felt someone take a seat in front of her and looked down to meet Joseph, he looked handsome as always, but his eyes, God his eyes broke her heart, they looked broken, sad and lifeless. She took his hands and could only say one thing.

Sara turned to face him and put her arms around his neck.

“I can understand you being jealous of seeing me with Jose, but I would like you to stop thinking that way, Jose is my friend and my work colleague, he is a person I trust and have great affection for, I am not going to stop being his friend and working by his side because of silly jealousy.

I want to make that clear from now on, I do not like possessive and dominant men, but it is not that I go around hugging all men, I will not stop being friends with Jose, but I can stop physical contact, besides you should not be jealous.

Jose is a friend, but you are my husband, the man I love and the one I chose for myself and the only one I have in my heart, so you shouldn’t be wary of my feelings for you.”

Hugo pressed her further by the hips and kissed her forehead.

The couple stayed happy and together the rest of the night, Sara had booked a room at the hotel so they wouldn’t leave. After all the guests left Alexander and Nadia approached them.

“I hope you have a good night Ma’am see you tomorrow” Nadia told him as her arm hung on Alejandro’s arm.

“Same to you, take the day off tomorrow, you worked a lot these days anyway, not much to do.”

Nadia thanked him. Alejandro also said goodbye to his boss.

“If there is nothing else sir I will leave, you have clothes to change in the room, as well as your car keys.”

Hugo looked at his secretary and the woman hanging on his arm.

“I knew it” he assured

“And you knew” he pointed to Alejandro.

“You knew what she had planned for today and you brought me into the trap, deep down I knew you had betrayed me”

Hugo looked at Nadia and then added, “and I can see why and by whom, you are just like that, two double-crossers. Tomorrow I don’t want you to report for work, you will be transferred to the construction team of the new Hotel, let’s see if a little forced labor will help you define where your loyalties lie”.

Alejandro did not know what to say at that moment, Nadia was rewarded with a day off, while he would have to work as a builder, after so much effort to help him and so much work, this was how he was paid, he mentally lamented, how difficult his life was.
