Rise of the Crusader
Chapter 118

118 Finale

The first floor was the biggest floor in the hospital.

It was, in fact, double the size of the other floor and when Wesley heard it was filled with people, he couldn’t help but imagine how bombarded it was going to be.

“I need to have a look at it.” With that said, and, Wesley walked toward the elevator.

The others didn’t remain still, and when Wesley dashed towards the elevator, they also moved as well.

It took them only a few minutes to arrive on the first floor. But even before they got to the floor they could already hear the voices that reverberated through the building, and when they arrived at the floor, everyone was flabbergasted.

“In a span of ten minutes, the floor has become fuller than what it formerly was.”

The first floor was massive and whether it was the reception area, the waiting room, or the foyer, every part of the surrounding was packed with people.

They were even several people at the front of the elevator, and when Wesley and the others came out of it, they rushed inside right away.

Wesley staggered forward, as at this point he had no clue on what to do. He had formulated a plan that was going to save him from Sonia’s wrath by using the government as a ploy.

.....

But, at this moment, he was not only going to deal with Sonia’s wrath but also the government and there was a high possibility that the heroes league would visit them.

“Help!!!!!”

“Please... Save my son, doctor Wesley!”

One of the people on the first floor recognized Wesley amidst the crowd and without a second thought, she rushed to him with a child who appeared to be five.

The woman was about to come in contact with Wesley and the others when she was held down by the people in front.

However, when the woman’s voice rang out and everyone turned to see the dean of medicine on the first floor, they shifted their attention towards Wesley quickly.

And even though the woman had just been stopped from approaching Wesley, they didn’t seem to care as one after the other they charged at Wesley.

“Doctor Wesley, please save me!!!!!!”

Wesley staggered backward as he saw the people who were rushing at him. His back was immediately drenched in sweats and while he was still in fear of the situation in front, he was suddenly tapped on the shoulder.

“Ahh!” Wesley exclaimed.

With panic written all over his face, he stared at the person who had just tapped him.

It was one of the directors, and as he saw Wesley staring at him, he dazed and pointed his hand at the front.

Seeing, the muscular man with a face that seemed to be merged together in front, Wesley’s mouth opened slightly.

However, it wasn’t the sight of the man that frightened Wesley, instead, it was the action he was partaking in that made Wesley frightened. As, with both hands balled into tight fists, he slammed his hand against the outside glass of the hospital that had been locked.

Bang!

Because Jersey saint hospital was a public hospital, there were only a handful of metahumans who existed in the hospital. And even the ones that existed were of C-ranks.

They were however unable to operate to the maximum level as, for some reason, whenever they moved to drive the people out of the hospital, someone would interfere.

It baffled them a lot, but as they were able to place the hospital on lockdown, they could solve the problem of more people entering into the hospital.

The only issue at hand was how to handle the people inside.

Wesley bit his lower lips so hard that blood came out of his mouth. He stared at his colleagues and said.

“We have no choice but to inform Sonia about this. This is beyond you and me, only Sonia can take care of this mess.”

Wesley brought his cell phone out and called Sonia right away.

While Sonia was going to severely punish them for this, there was no doubt that she was able to solve the problem within minutes, if not seconds. And that was what Wesley needed before the government knew about this.

Wesley was waiting for the person on the other end to answer the call when he was tapped once again on the shoulder.

“Wesley.”

“Wesley!”

“They are already here.” It was the female director that spoke.

Wesley had ignored the first and second call, but when he heard the woman the third time, his body trembled violently. And as he raised his head and stared at the people who had just walked into the hospital, the phone in his hand dropped to the floor.

If there was a hole right in front of him, certainly Wesley wouldn’t waste any time whatsoever, and he would immediately jump into it because the people who had just arrived were none other than the government.

Their presence in the hospital was so overbearing that immediately as they walked into the hospital, the people who were shouting and screaming for help went silent.

Wesley and the people in the hospital were able to recognize them because of the emblem on their suits. And one after the other they made way for the men in black quickly.

“Who runs this place!”

A few seconds after the three men walked into the hospital, an icy voice rang out from one of them.

When they heard the man’s voice, everyone eyes shifted to the seven people who were standing in one corner of the hospital. And even though they didn’t say a word, their eyes already answered what was asked of them.

Wesley gulped hard, his heart raced as each step the three men took closer to him made him feel as though death was approaching him.

The three men were in all-black suits with dark shades on, and as they arrived in front of Wesley and the others, they seized them from head to toe, and a second after, one of them spoke.

“Under rule three hundred and fifty-five, section five. You have failed to uphold the promises you made to the government regarding the purpose of the hospital, and punishment is due served.” The man said.

“You can appeal to the government if you believe you’re being treated unfairly. But until then, the hospital will be shut down.” He blurted.

“Hand over the keys!”

When the man ordered for the key, he raised the tone of his voice, and killing intent could be sensed in it.

Wesley shivered in fear, he glanced at his colleagues, and it wasn’t of much shock to him when he saw that they had all lowered their heads.

Shaking his head and then heaving a deep breath, Wesley slowly placed his hand into his pocket. He brought a key out of his pocket, and it wasn’t up to a second after the key appeared, that it was grabbed.

“Y-”

Wesley wanted to speak, but when he saw the fierce look that was on the face of the man who grabbed the key, he sealed his lips quickly.

The three men had neutral expressions on their faces, and once they had collected the key from Wesley, they turned their attention to the people in the hospital.

“Those with crucial conditions will be transported into a new facility, as for the rest of you, you have twenty seconds to scramble out of this place.” The man in the middle said.

When the people in the hospital heard the man, a couple of them stared at him, wondering if he was pulling some jokes on them.

Even if they wanted to leave this place, twenty seconds wasn’t something that could be achieved based on the number of people who were in the hospital.

As no response or even the slightest bit of movement came from the people in the hospital, the man’s voice rang out.

“Good.” He said, and then stared at the two beside him. “Kill them.”

Once the command was given, the two men in black suits made a move immediately. It was so abrupt that before any of the people in the hospital could react, ten of them had fallen to the floor.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!”

“Run!!”

Once blood began to spill and bodies dropped on the hospital floor, the rest wasted no time, and they ran with every bit of power they could muster up.

Despite the fact they were rushing out of the hospital, the killing didn’t stop. No mercy came from the men in suits as they hacked through bodies as though they were butchering pigs.

...

Meanwhile, five students were in a building, a few meters away from the hospital. The five of them had a telescope in their hands, staring at the first floor of the hospital with different expressions on their faces.

“What the hell!... I absolutely didn’t see that coming!” Bane blurted.

“But, why does it seem like their attacks are targeted at specific people? He could have killed that man, but instead, he went after the lady with a baby.”

“And why did he kill that woman and spared the boy beside her?” Bane asked as he watched the massacre that was happening in the hospital.

Naomi lowered her telescope after Bane spoke, and said.

“They are only killing the non-metas among them. The metahumans are allowed to leave the hospital.”

Naomi shook her head in despise, “The mission has been completed, let’s return.”
