The Abandoned Hunter
Chapter 205: The Demon Generals - Part 1: Prepared

Now, this was quite a confusing situation for both of them. They could hardly understand what they were talking about.

The titles that they mentioned were completely off.

While Jay mentioned something, Alon stated something entirely different.

This sparked much more confusion.

It was only when Jay revealed the name of the book did Alon get a hint about what was happening.

"What did you say your highness?", Alon's eyes have bulged and it seemed like he was genuinely shocked by the fact that Jay knew the name – Diablo.

Well, the name wasn't that uncommon but to see the Dark Overlord himself say something like tis despite claiming the memory loss was something shocking indeed.

Although he didn't want to believe what Jay was trying to say, he started to realize that what Jay was saying held some truth in it.

"So your highness, this book…"

"Diablo…"

"Did all the books that you read have the same title?", Alon asked.

"Yes…", Jay nodded his head almost immediately while saying that.

"All the books had the title."

*gulp*

Alon swallowed a large amount of dry saliva when he heard this.

It was unbelievable after all.

"However…", but Jay had something else to say too.

"…", Alon paused and started to keen his attention towards Jay again.

"The books had some sort of subtitles in all of them."

"And they were different…", Jay said in a low voice.

"What?"

"Subtitles?"

Now that was interesting, the books that Jay read had some sort of subtitles just below the title 'Diablo'. What could have they meant?

Why were such subtitles even provided in the first place?

Alon started to ask himself those questions and many more things.

But there was one thing for sure, the books were somewhat related to Diablo, the first true monarch of the demon clan.

Of course, they didn't consider the Dark Overlord as their monarch solely because he wasn't a demon. But little did they know that the Dark Overlord and Diablo were one and the same being.

Just their names and appearances had been changed and nothing else.

Well, that was in the past. Currently, Alon was interested in the subtitles.

"Your highness, can you tell me what the subtitles were?", he asked.

"Hmm…"

"For the first book, the subtitle was…"

"Demon Kingdom."

"The demon kingdom?", now that was definitely an interesting subtitle.

A book about demonic arts should have the name of some sort of technique. Instead of that, the mention of the kingdom was given which sounded pretty unique, at least to Alon.

'So the first book was…'

'Diablo: The Demon Kingdom'

Alon murmured in a low voice.

'I wonder what that book was about…', Alon wasn't satisfied with just the titles and the subtitles.

He wanted to know about the content too, but he couldn't possibly do that because the book had some sort of strange magic perhaps.

Well, when Jay first mentioned the name of Diablo instead o the name of the book which Alon gave, he realized at the very instant that the book was probably enchanted or had some secret magic in it.

It was made in such a way that only the one who made the book can read or even the successor could do that.

Then Jay continued to tell about other books and Alon was shocked when he heard all of them.

In any case, this wasn't something that Jay wanted to recite at the moment.

He wanted to learn the techniques however it seemed like Alon himself had no idea about what Jay had read.

So he decided to practice by himself, but how far he could go by just replicating what was in his mind?

Whatever he tried to perform those arts.

They were highly difficult, no doubt. The time that he took to learn was nowhere near the time that took him in performing the same.

It was tough indeed, but he didn't give up. He continued to train and perform the same thing and in a day's time, he was finally able to perform all the techniques.

Alon who stood and watched all the moves was completely shocked and astonished.

'Just what are those moves?', was what he asked himself.

Yes, Jay actually performed which was long lost so Alon had no idea about the techniques.

Though, after seeing them, he too tried to do that but unfortunately, he failed to even do a single step right.

'I have no idea if this is fate or what…'

'But it seems like the books were waiting for his highness to discover…', was what he said to himself.

Another day passed when Jay was finally able to master an art out of all those which he performed the day before.

Unfortunately, it didn't appear as a new skill. In fact, it was something that his body remembered.

[ Mission - Save The Netherlanders ]

[ Use the key of Nether World ] [ completed ]

[ Protect the Netherlanders from Arcane Demon Lord ]

[ Become the King of Nether World ]

[ Time Limit : 7:19:53:11 ( 7 days 19 hours 53 minutes 11 seconds ) ]

[ Rewards will vary depending on the way in which the mission was completed ]

Jay took a look at the mission. He had quite a less amount time left before the timer runs out.

'Seven days are too less…'

The quest was indeed too difficult. He had to literally become the king in just ten says which was nearly impossible, even for him!

He trained a day or two after which he decided to face the demon generals about whom Alon had mentioned.

"So tell me, Alon, where will I replace those demon generals?", Jay asked.

Alon wanted to tell right away but he was way too surprised to say anything.

His eyes were wide open. He was staring at Jay's shiny body which had become bulkier!

His muscles had been shaped even more and had become sturdy and hard.

*gulp*

'What's with that?', Alon was surprised because he was sure that he was looking at a human body however at the same time the body was freely absorbing heat and mana from the surrounding through the skin!

'You got to be kidding me…'

'His highness just did the training for four days straight and this is what he get?', anyone would have been surprised by that.

"Alon?", Jay called out to him with a raised voice and he finally snapped out.

"What's wrong Alon, you seem tired…"

He wasn't exactly tired, he was actually amazed by the fine-tuned body of Jay.

"Yes your highness, about the generals…"

"They are towards the north.", when he said this, his expression changed.

"…"

Jay understood that he was sad because his people were being killed.

Alon had said earlier that his territory stretched far towards the north and east. It seemed like the north was acquired by the demon generals.

'A demon-killing its own kin?'

'How shameful…', Jay thought.

But that was no different from the humans who kill each other on Earth.

It was as if the talk about the humans was going on instead of the demons.

In any case, after hearing that they were present in the north, Jay decided t go and fight them.

Not that he was stronger than them or Alon, it just seemed like he had some plans.

Also, he had tested the demon mode a day ago and he got a result that made him satisfied and confident in facing the demon generals.

Of course, even now, he was unaware of their powers.

However, he still thought about facing them.

Also, he would be taking Alon with him because he thought that he was quite strong too and would be handy!

In any case, after seeing Alon sad, he thought about cheering him up.

"Alon, I would eliminate them, don't worry…", was what he said.

When Alon heard that, he smiled a bit after staring at Jay all of a sudden.

"Alright then, I guess we should go there as soon as possible…", Jay said in a low voice.

"Yes…", Alon nodded his head.

He led to the castle because Jay wanted to get freshened up. After that, he gave him a pair of clothes that looked extraordinarily good on Jay.

The cloth was mostly of black with red and blue in it which perfectly fit him.

"Good, now I think we are ready to go…", was what Jay said.

"Yes, your highness…"

"…"

To be continued…
