Chapter 97:.

He didn’t think she would take the initiative, and she didn’t think he would continue.

This jerk, hadn’t they just done it, why did she want it again?

His kisses were gentle and sweet, sometimes provocative.

He kissed her chin and then licked the tips of her ears.

He licked all her ears and she shuddered, she felt numb and the strength left her body.

She slowly caressed her flat belly with her hand, it was hard to imagine that she could keep her figure so well even after giving birth.

“No!” she said weakly.

“No?” he said as he proceeded to spread her legs apart.

Sherry was stunned, “William, didn’t we just do that?”. Her face flushed as she screamed, “Go away!”.

“I want you!” he couldn’t hold back any longer. He forced his already erect penis inside her and thrust aggressively.

All day long, they made love to each other tirelessly.

Their bodies were connected, they’ve embraced each other tightly and ardently.

William spurted his last spurt as he grunted in a deep, resonant voice. Something hot came out.

When William pulled it out, he realized that Sherry had lost consciousness as she lay exhausted on his strong arms. He smiled and covered her with a blanket.

He looked at her lovingly as he picked up the phone to call.

William said coolly as the call went through.

“Have you seen her?” John was on the other end of the call.

William was surprised, but he didn’t deny that he had spoken to Sherry and given her a warning.

He shouted angrily at William, “So what?”

“Why did you go to her?” He was angry, the incident had nothing to do with Sherry.

John was even angrier to hear his son condemn him, “Why, do you feel anything for her now that she has given birth to your son?”

The first thing William asked was about Sherry, not whether she could resume her position with the Rowland Group.

Sure, the girl was pretty, but so what?

She sold her body and became a surrogate mother for the money.

What was the point?

“I didn’t let you meet her,” William said, raising his voice.

Sherry woke up as his voice carried across the room. –

“Did she have to tell you everything? What a despicable woman,” John said angrily.

He hated people who talked behind his back!

“She’s not like you, she didn’t say anything! I just figured it out.”

“How would you know if it wasn’t for her?” John didn’t credit his words.

William didn’t bother to explain, he said, “Samuel is my son. I want him to have a mother. It’s my decision and none of your business. You are only his grandfather, you have no rights over him.”

“I’m his father, I’ve given him the right to live!” scoffed John, “You and Samuel have no choice but to listen to me, it’s the least you can do!”

“I’ll take Samuel with me. Go replace a companion if you’re lonely, I won’t object to it!” said William indifferently and coldly, though there was a tinge of deep concern in his voice.

“You… You bastard! You want me to betray your mother? Not by a long shot!” roared John angrily. “I won’t let you marry her and I won’t let Samuel live with her. I’ll only accept someone as intelligent and reasonable as your mother to be Miss Rowland Family!”

“My mother is dead. She died while giving birth to me. I am to blame, I killed her…don’t worry, Sherry will not be Miss Rowland Family. She will only be my wife and Samuel’s mother,” William said in a frigid tone of voice.

Sherry shuddered at his words, William, he….

“You’ve let your mother down!” howled John as William’s word came too close to him.

“Don’t think I’m going to let you take Samuel to him! He’s my grandson, the successor to the Rowland Group!”

“He’s my son and I know what’s better for him than you do!”

William grew up without maternal love. His mother died because of him and he had to carry that sin as long as he lived.

His mother died because of him. His father lived a lonely life because of him. It was a sin, but no more the reason I didn’t want Samuel to grow up without a mother! I didn’t want Samuel to feel the loneliness he felt growing up.

He couldn’t get his mother back, but Samuel’s mother was still alive, and no one had the right to take her away from him! Five years had passed, the boy had suffered enough.

Sherry was still in shock. She quickly got out of there and got out of bed. She put on her clothes and didn’t know what to do next.

William was arguing with his father because of her and it was not the outcome she wanted. She knew John wasn’t entirely to blame, but she was a woman with a bad past.

William hung up the phone and stood in the hallway. His face was extremely somber.

Sherry opened the door and saw that he was wearing only a bathrobe.

He was standing in front of the door with the phone in his hand. She couldn’t help but look away. He turned when he heard something.

His gaze softened at the sight of her, “You could have slept in!”.

He knew she was probably exhausted, because of him!

Sherry’s face flushed and she looked down, she looked at her toes as she asked, “Did you have an argument with your father?”

“No!” he denied. He hugged her and they both walked into the room, “You don’t have to worry about anything. I’m going to get Samuel right now.”

Sherry quickly shook her head.

She really wanted to see her son.

She thought about what was best for the boy and what she could do for him. Her thoughts were a jumble at the moment.

William was taken aback, then he placed his phone on the bedside.

“Don’t blame yourself for that incident!” he said.

Sherry thought about what Mr. Rowland had told her and William’s tone of voice on the phone just now.

It was clear that William blamed himself and was agonizing over it.

Sherry felt a sharp pain in her heart, William said her mother had died because of him.

Thirty years had passed, but she still couldn’t forgive herself. It still hurt every time she mentioned it. The incident was always in the back of his mind, even when he didn’t quite know what had happened.

He didn’t say anything. Sherry’s words touched him too closely, she looked at him out of the corner of her eye.

William’s sensuous lips quivered and he looked extremely dazed. He clenched his jaw tightly, as if trying to suppress the fluttering of his heart. His eyes looked dim but sinister.

“It’s not your fault! What else could you have done?” he said as he turned his head toward her.

“William, don’t blame yourself!”

“My mother died because of me and my old man never married another woman. He’d be alone forever. I owe him no matter what!” said William, sounding devastated.

He hugged her roughly and sank his head on her shoulders, “Let me rest my head a little!”

Sherry’s body stiffened. Her hand was briefly in the air, and then she slowly hugged him tightly and stroked his back gently.

William had great stature and always gave the impression of being very strong, but he also had a very weak side. He had never experienced motherly love. Now he could stay strong, but it had to be terrible for him growing up.

“You…” Sherry felt a lump in her throat as she tried to say something. She hadn’t realized she cared so much about him.

She choked up as she said, “Stop arguing with your father. Your father probably loved your mother very much and that’s why he didn’t remarry after so many years. He must have loved her very much. Even though your mother has passed away, your father will still love her forever and ever. And that’s every woman’s dream! Don’t blame yourself anymore! You and your father are the ones who are suffering.”

William’s body trembled, “You don’t understand!”

She couldn’t replace the best words to comfort him. She tried to put herself in his place, but she could not understand his pain, as she did not experience what he was experiencing firsthand.

She could only hug him tightly. She hoped her small shoulders were strong enough for him to lean on.

He was always so strong, but he could also be so fragile. He held her tightly as if he wanted to carve her into his body.

He murmured next to her ears, “Don’t leave me! If you do, I’ll have nothing…”.

Her heart ached, and tears began to well up in her eyes. She touched his weak spot and answered without thinking, “All right, I won’t do it. I won’t leave you. Even if you have nothing, I’ll still be with you…”

William listened to what Sherry told him to do. He would not immediately bring Samuel in. Instead, he would head to see Samuel first.

Sherry couldn’t help but worry about Samuel. He was an introverted child. He would definitely cry if he knew he didn’t have a mother.

Sherry stared at William’s side profile as she drove the car, “Drop me off at Leon’s Restaurant. I promised Celia I’d be there. Don’t forget to tell your friend to bring Dan.”

He clung to her and refused to let her go. She promised him she would stay with him even though she knew it wasn’t right.

She had to discuss with Celia the whole decision. He might as well stay at Celia’s apartment for a while longer. He needed Celia’s advice about the whole thing.

“Let’s pick it up tomorrow! Tonight you belong to me,” he said quietly, “Just you and me!”.

His face turned red, but he said nothing at the thought of how fragile he was now.

“Tell your friend you’re not staying in her apartment anymore. You can stay at Villa 15. The deposit book from last time is in the drawer, you don’t have to work anymore!”

“I don’t have to work?” she said dumbfounded. “No, I want to work!” She was healthy and in good shape, why wouldn’t she work?

“I’ll pay for everything!” he said.

“No, William. You don’t have to do that, I can work and earn money on my own!”

“You’re not listening to me!” he shouted.

“It’s not your decision!” she insisted.

“Fine, then stop working temporarily until you replace a job under me. You can’t work under anyone else. This is my commitment, otherwise I will force you to quit your job. You promised me that you would not leave me, are you trying to go against your words?”

“I didn’t mean that!” She felt frustrated.

“What do you mean then?” William purposely twisted her words, “You’re going to leave me?”

“Stop it!” She glanced outside the window. Her face was very red.

William looked at her and said, “I’ll come and get you in an hour. Wait for me here patiently.”

She looked at her watch and it was already 7 p.m., which meant he would come to pick her up at 8.

“Wait, but you haven’t eaten anything yet!” They spent the whole day in bed.

“Let’s eat when we get home! I’ll go see Samuel right now.” William was quite worried about Samuel.

“I’ll comfort him a little when I get there. Although you haven’t seen him in a while, too. Are you feeling sad?”

Sherry paused and nodded, “I am sad, but I want to make peace with your father. He was only thinking of what was best for Samuel and we should try to be more understanding!”

“You’re going to get mobbed if you’re so nice!” She smiled. She finally smiled.

“It’s true, I always get harassed because of you,” he said jokingly.

“Oh, since when did you learn to talk back? You’ll get your punishment tonight!” he said affectionately.

“Please stop joking.” She felt distressed.

“I’m talking about you making me dinner as a punishment,” she explained desperately.
