Phineas had received the notification that there was still no word from Morwenna, and his agitation only grew.

Morwenna didn't have many close acquaintances to begin with. Phineas had people watching her known associates, yet they had uncovered nothing.

No matter how he thought about it, Phineas couldn't shake the feeling that Morwenna hadn't left on her own. Given her temperament, she would have returned to the old house by now, especially since Norbert was under his care.

But her silent disappearance, coupled with leaving Orson with Claude as a decoy, suggested that someone had definitely taken her.

Phineas had his men investigate Stuart's circle of friends and discovered that Jack and Fletcher had ventured into a restricted area. The whereabouts of Brian remained unknown.

Phineas doubted that Brian had taken Morwenna. After all, during the broadcast, Brian had primarily targeted her. If he intended to help, why create such a public spectacle?

Where on earth could she be?

Meanwhile, over at Southshore Estates, Brian was lounging on the sofa, engrossed in his phone. He spent the entire day switching from stock market updates to international news, and finally to mind-numbing mobile games. Exhausted, he drifted into a nap, completely forgetting Morwenna's existence.

Morwenna, devoid of any distractions like a phone or a television, lay motionless on the floor of a dim room. Fletcher had taken her phone to track Stuart, leaving her isolated. Any concerned calls to her phone went unanswered.

Simultaneously, the Hetfield family was embroiled in a heated argument. Yara worried that at this rate, she might not receive any money. What if they couldn't replace Morwenna? And even if they did, how much would she actually receive? With a baby on the way and a less-than-reliable husband, Yara felt she needed to secure her future.

Yara proposed that Phineas give her five percent of the shares upfront, promising not to contest Morwenna's shares once retrieved. Already simmering with frustration, Phineas exploded at the suggestion, slapping Yara across the face. The two siblings erupted into a shouting match, while Sabrina looked on with smug satisfaction.

Fuming, Yara retreated to her room and took several prenatal pills to calm down, only to receive an unexpected phone call.

"Aunt Yara, I know where Morwenna is, and I can help you replace her."

"Really?"

"Of course, it's true. Come to Southshore Estates right now and meet me at the entrance. I'll lead you to Morwenna."

"Wonderful, Adelaide Gallagher, you're a lifesaver. Rest assured, once I get the shares, you won't be forgotten."

"Thank you, Aunt Yara."

Adelaide hung up, her smile twisted with malice.

Once, she had been thrown into jail with no one to care for her, resigned to months of incarceration. But to her surprise, Yara had arranged for her escape.

Yara had explained, "The enemy my enemy is my friend." It was a

minor gesture that could create net

significant problem for Stuart, and Yara was more than willing

a to oblige.

Adelaide was clever. She kept a low profile after her release, waiting for the right moment.

Matthew's place was a secret known only to their inner circle. Yet, Adelaide remembered the days when she shadowed Stuart constantly, making her part of that circle.

After Matthew and his cohort took Morwenna away, Adelaide found the hideout quickly. She lurked outside for hours until she saw Matthew come down to collect a delivery. swnovel

Sensing she was being watched, ̧ Matthew hurried off, but it was too late. Adelaide had deduced that Morwenna was upstairs. And, predictably, Brian would be there, keeping watch over her. swnovel
