Morwenna ignored Stuart, and Brian was seething with anger, ready to lash out and call Morwenna heartless.

Fletcher, however, remained silent and gave Brian a swift kick, stopping him from saying anything rash. Of everyone involved, Fletcher was the most aware of the intricacies between Stuart and Morwenna.

In Fletcher's eyes, Morwenna's indifferent attitude was entirely justified-after all, the whole affair had begun with deception.

Stuart's initial harsh treatment of Morwenna had been hard to witness, even for an outsider like Fletcher. Yet it was more than just harshness; they had resorted to deceit to keep Morwenna around.

Morwenna was such a sincere and pure-hearted person; accepting such deception was simply impossible for her.

After Morwenna left, Stuart passed out. His injuries were severe, and navigating out of the wilderness at night had been no easy feat. They had moved quickly, and Stuart's condition had worsened, bringing him to the brink.

Once it was confirmed that Morwenna was safe, Stuart could no longer hold on and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital overnight.

Fletcher organized Stuart's treatment, arranging surgery, various examinations, and necessary procedures. Fletcher himself was also injured and lacked the strength to perform Stuart's surgery personally.

Jack, another member of their group, was also admitted to the hospital. As a soldier, Jack was the most physically fit and alert, but he had taken on significant risks while clearing the path for the others and was consequently quite injured.

Having braved the wilderness, Edmund was the least hurt, thanks to everyone's protection.

The operating room lights stayed on for a long time as Brian and Matthew hustled around, attending to the necessary tasks.

Meanwhile, on a different front, Greta took Morwenna and Edmund to Windcharm Villas. They were not alone, as Greta had gathered a large group to escort them, wary of the possibility that Phineas might still act irrationally in this tumultuous situation.

Morwenna was on edge the entire journey. Greta handed her a bowl of nourishing soup, but Morwenna shook her head. "Greta, I don't have an appetite. I want to see Norbert Hetfield first."

Having gone without proper food and drink for days, her hunger had turned to nausea at the sight of food.

Greta was firm, "You need to eat something before I take you to see Norbert. Look at you; you're in no shape. What if Norbert's fine but you starve yourself first?"

Hearing that she had to eat before seeing Norbert Hetfield, Morwenna reluctantly took the bowl and began to eat.

Greta continued to admonish her, "Don't eat too fast. If you force it, you'll just end up getting sick, and it won't count."

Her stomach protested as she hurriedly consumed the soup, so she had no choice but to slow down.

The car continued its journey towards Windcharm Villas. It took Morwenna twenty minutes to finish the small bowl of soup, by which time they had arrived.

They quickly made their way to

Stuart's villa in the first district of Windcham Villas. The area was heavily guarded, as Stuart had ensured Norbert's safety was paramount, making it impossible for Phineas to take Norbert away if he discovered their location

Keaton and Keegan, two brothers who had been pre-warned, were leading the watch. Upon seeing Morwenna, they swiftly ushered her inside.

Morwenna rushed upstairs with Keegan, nearly tumbling down the stairs in her haste. Greta, quick to react, gave her a supportive push to steady her.

Breathless, Morwenna entered the room and saw Norbert Hetfield lying motionless in bed, with doctors bustling around him.

In disbelief, Morwenna approached, her hand trembling as she reached out to touch Norbert, but she hesitated and pulled back.
