Chapter 35:.

Hugo got into the car, while Sara entered the house, Nina stood looking at the place where the couple was hugging before and decided it was time to start her plan, she took her cell phone out of her purse and made a call.

“Hello, it’s time to start our plan, post the pictures and share them as much as you can, we need the news to go viral and reach as far as this country.” the person on the other end of the line agreed and then they hung up the call.

Nina went back to her hotel room to wait for her plan to take effect. Hugo went to the company and like every day he started working immediately, he was in a hurry to finish soon and go home to his wife, he finally felt that things were getting better and he wanted to take advantage to consolidate the relationship, he needed his wife to be sure of the feelings he had for her.

He had a terrible feeling that something bad was going to happen and as always, he was not wrong. Fifteen minutes later Alejandro walked into the office with a tablet in his hand.

“You have to see this sir” he spoke to his boss showing him the tablet.

It was a publication of a famous blogger from City A, where Hugo used to live. The title was The famous model Nina Rondón leaves the fashion week in Paris in search of love, the article talked about the previous speculations of Nina’s secret relationship, it said that everyone had been far from reality because since the beginning of her career the Latin model had only had one sponsor and it was an important president and although Hugo’s name was not directly mentioned, the article was accompanied by some photos where Hugo’s face and the couple in compromising situations could be seen.

It also mentioned that Nina’s beau had had to move for work and had taken his faithful lover with him.

The article had been shared many times and was already trending, all Internet users were looking for Nina’s lover and although no one knew who he was, it was only a matter of time before they found out.

Apart from the highest ranking employees and necessary people, nobody knew Hugo’s real face, since he did not accept interviews or go on camera, so Hugo did not worry that someone could relate him to the dam, few people knew who he was and those who knew would not dare to try to relate him to the scandal.

So he just said to Alejandro.

“Don’t worry about that, it’s nothing important, just take care of deleting my pictures before Sara sees them.”

Alejandro understood what his boss meant, it was easier to face millions of nosy cybernauts, than a woman’s wounded pride.

Alejandro did his job and disappeared the photos, but then they looked like others of Hugo and Nina the day she arrived in the country, first holding hands walking to the car and then entering a hotel. She was about to alert her boss when a comment went viral.

“That man is the President of the Moretti Group, he just returned from abroad, his name is Hugo Moretti, and I hear he has a reputation as a womanizer and is not capable of being faithful to any woman. Poor that model, abandoning her job for a man like that”.

All the Internet users started talking about Hugo and questioning why the Moretti Group had that kind of man as president. Nadia expected such an important and discreet man to lead such a scandalous private life.

Suddenly many women began to say that they had had an affair with Hugo and public opinion turned against Hugo and the Moretti Group.

Alejandro proceeded to inform his boss what was going on in the social networks and then Hugo paid attention to the situation.

Firstly, because he had always tried to keep a low profile and did not like to be in anyone’s mouth, much less in gossip.

Secondly, he was interested to know who had dared to confront him and call him a womanizer.

Thirdly, he was concerned that all this could affect the company’s image or lower the stock price.

“Find out immediately who the person was who wrote that comment and I want you to make him regret having been born.”

Alejandro immediately went out, called the IT guys and asked them to trace the IP address of the person who wrote the comment. Three hours later Alejandro fearfully entered the office, Hugo’s mood was already showing and his cold stare felt like he was at the North Pole.

“You did what I told you to do, why don’t I have the person responsible on his knees in front of me?” he asked.

“Yes we found him sir,” Alexander paused considering whether he should say it or not, until he finally decided “it was your wife sir, Miss Sara wrote the comment.”

Hugo messed up his hair with his hand, he had a feeling it was her. He could never get along with that woman.
