Chapter 36:

Sara had found herself coy happy since her husband left in the morning, she thought that finally things would be handled well between the two of them.

Unfortunately these thoughts didn’t last long because while checking her social networks she saw a publication that she didn’t like at all, it talked about the romance of a model, in any other circumstance nothing would matter to Sara these gossips, the problem was that when she noticed the man in the picture she recognized him immediately and it was her husband.

She was aware that he had cheated on her countless times while she was abroad, so she tried not to make a big deal out of it, since they didn’t know each other at the time, but soon after the photo disappeared, more recent ones appeared.

Sara looked at the dates and realized that it was just the day she had cooked for him. While she was waiting for him at home like a fool, he was having fun in a hotel with the model.

Sara loaded with hatred took her phone and wrote a comment giving the identity of the man in the photo, at that moment she had made a decision, she would teach that womanizer a good lesson.

She dialed a number and summoned some people to the Villa. She went up to her room took a long bath, then dressed in a two-piece business suit, put on shoes and a little make-up. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror, she looked like a professional.

She went downstairs and sat patiently waiting for her guests to arrive, little by little they arrived one by one and Sara invited them to sit in the largest room of the villa where she had arranged their seats. When everyone had arrived Sara stood in front of them.

“Well, it looks like we’re all here, let’s start the press conference,” the journalists murmured curiously and turned on their cameras.

“My name is Sara Moretti and I am Hugo Moretti’s wife, I replace myself here today facing you with my heart in my hand, due to certain comments and publications circulating on the Internet” Sara pretended to wipe away a tear and continued “Hugo and I will soon celebrate three years of marriage and it hurts me to see how he is linked with other women. It is true that my husband had an affair with that model” she took a deep breath and with her hands she blew air on her face.

“At that time we were not going through a good time. He was transferred to another city for work and I could not accompany him because I was studying, but recently my husband returned and we decided to revive our marriage, I can assure you that he no longer has anything to do with that model and that she was the one who followed him here, the photos at the entrance of the hotel are nothing more than a hoax, my husband as a gentleman accompanied the lady to the hotel to rest and asked her to leave later, but she refused and decided to cling to my husband. Today I am here publicly asking Miss Nina to stop interfering in my marriage and please leave my husband alone, he already told her he wants nothing to do with her and is begging me to forgive her past mistakes. Today in front of all of you I tell you that I have already forgiven my husband and I decided to leave all this behind in the past and I ask you to forgive him too, remember that he is only a man and he can make mistakes, also our personal problems have nothing to do with the company and Hugo is an excellent president and I am so proud of him that I have decided to spend my internship in his company, where I hope that together we can do an excellent job. Thank you all very much for coming all this way to see me, I have nothing more to say”.

The journalists went crazy with the news and they all started to assault Sara with questions, they tried to get closer but Nadia helped Sara to escape.

Back at the company Hugo had seen his wife’s live broadcast and was speechless. This woman instead of business, she should have studied theater, the world was missing out on her incredible talent. Hugo’s phone rang in his pocket. He saw the caller ID and it was Nina, so he answered.

“What’s going on Nina?”

“You ask me what’s going on, a woman has been on TV calling me a lover, destroying homes and saying you want nothing to do with me. what’s going on Hugo?” Nina demanded between sobs.

“First calm down Nina, and what that woman said is true, at least a part of it, it is true that what is between us must end and that I am only going to concentrate on my wife, so the best thing is for you to go back to your country and forget me.”

“Hugo Moretti, are you human or do you not have a heart, how can you say that to me”.

“Look Nina, I’ll talk to you later, I’m very busy and I have more important matters to attend to”.

Hugo hung up the call and just then Alejandro walked in.

“Sir the price of our shares has gone up again and public opinion has calmed down, apparently the lady’s speech has saved us.”

Hugo let out a deep laugh.

“So this was her plan to throw me to the wolves and then rescue me and come back a heroine. What a calculating and ruthless woman.”

Alexander stood silently looking at his boss and could only think how much his wife looked like him, they were definitely made for each other and from what he could observe another feud would soon unfold between the two of them.

Alexander wondered when they would start behaving like a real married couple, instead of treating each other like enemies. If Sara actually entered the company, those offices would become a battlefield.
