Chapter 11
Chapter 11:
Sherry was stunned and looked at the cup of coffee in her hands. Won’t Mr. Rowland drink the coffee she makes?
“Yes!” She made another cup of coffee.
Lara was about to leave, but came over to her to smell the coffee, “What’s so special about it? Sherry, do you know Mr. Rowland?
“Huh? No!” Sherry shook her head, “I don’t know Mr. Rowland at all, Mrs. Rhodes, I’ll take the coffee to Mr. Rowland first!”.
Lara looked at her rear view and scoffed and a thought crossed her eyes.
Sherry poured the coffee in the Director’s office and William was ordering some papers, “Mr. Rowland, your coffee.”
“Okay.” William looked at Sherry. Mächïnï’s metallic black business suit emphasized her slim build, “You’ll be in charge of my coffee from now on!”
“Yes!” Sherry could only agree. This was directed by Mr. Rowland, so naturally she had to obey.
William approached and Sherry consciously took a step back as her head lowered even further. She looked at the toe of her shoes helplessly and could smell the fragrance of tobacco leaves.
“Mrs. Murray, are you used to it yet?” William’s voice was cold and he moved past her to sit on the couch.
“Yes.” Sherry’s reply remained monosyllabic.
“You can answer questions, can’t you?” she heard William’s impatient tone.
“Yes!” It was instinctive and a little annoyed. Sherry unconsciously pursed her lips and quickly glanced toward William.
It was just a glance and she became inexplicably nervous. William’s eyes flickered as he looked at the stunned woman. Sherry lowered her head again. Her hand began to tremble slightly as she held the serving tray. She was puzzled as to why William was questioning her.
“You can go!” William suddenly said coldly.
“Mommy, what took you so long to pick me up?” A pink-lipped, white-toothed boy was waiting for Sherry at the entrance to the kindergarten.
Other than the teacher and Daniel, there was no one else at the door.
“Sorry Dan, Mommy was late!” Sherry sincerely apologizes to the teacher, “I’m sorry, Teacher Stone, for all the inconvenience caused.”
“It’s okay, Mrs. Murray, your son is a lot like you.”
That was the first time Teacher Stone met Sherry.
She finally understood where Dan got his facial features from: “The boy’s eyes and eyebrows will look more like his father.”

Sherry felt awkward and smiled uncomfortably because Dan was not her son and almost everyone who knew her anyway said the same thing.
“Dan, say goodbye to the teacher!”
“Yes! Goodbye, Teacher Stone!” she replies, Dan politely, “Mommy, do I look a lot like you?”
Sherry lowered her head and looked at the little face. Yes, Dan looked more and more like her, but unfortunately he was not her son! “Yes, we do look alike!”
After stepping away from the teacher a bit, Sherry took him by the hand and asked, “Dan, what are we eating today?”
“Anything is fine as long as it’s with Mom!”.
“Okay, Dan is such a good boy!”. Sherry sighed. That boy was so thoughtful even though he wasn’t hers. She wondered where her son would be, if he would do well, and if that man loved him. A tear rolled down her cheek at the thought.
“Mommy, why are you crying, is Dan naughty?” She glanced at Sherry with concern. Dan couldn’t help but say, “I won’t be mad at Mommy in the future, I’ll just wait patiently at the door for Mommy to finish work!”
“Dan, no, Mommy didn’t cry. I got a grain of sand in my eye.” Sherry explained apologetically.
“But there was no wind! Where did the sand come from?”.
The fragile, beautiful face smiled, “Dan is so smart, Mommy won’t shed another tear! Come on, Mommy will take Dan out for a nice meal!”.
The Rowland Residence
“Daddy, you’re back!”. The beautiful little boy came running down the stairs and was overjoyed when he saw William.
“Sammy!” William quickly carried him, “Have you been good?”.
“Yes! Grandpa said Sammy is a good boy!”.
“Great!”. William smiled, “Where’s Grandpa?”.
“In the den!” said Sammy as he pointed to the room upstairs.
“Dad, are you looking for Grandpa?”.
“Yes, Sammy, first you play by yourself and take a shower while you wait for Daddy. Then I’ll read you some stories.”
“Okay! I’ll do it now.” Sammy wriggled out of William’s embrace, “Daddy, hurry up!”.
“Okay!” William gave a glance behind his back and the pitiful little face filled his mind. He hadn’t expected that, in just one night, he would end up with a son!
