Chapter 8:.

Sherry showed up at the Rowland Group, dressed in conservative attire, when she noticed that most of the women attending the interview were heavily made up and dressed in a more attractive manner.

At that point, a group of girls started chatting.

“Did you hear, this time it’s Mr. Rowland who will be interviewing us in person!”.

“Yes, I know! He’s so handsome, I’m finally going to see him!”.

“My dream mister! And Liam, the guy who is always next to Mr. Rowland, have you seen him smile, amazing! I hear he and the President are still single.”

“Be quiet! Mr. Brooks is coming!” Someone said.

Suddenly there was a loud scream, which startled Sherry, then she looked over to where everyone else was looking, What a sight!

It was definitely a man’s face, but as gentle and beautiful as a woman’s face. He had fair skin, which almost looked glowing in the light, the structures of his face were in complete harmony. He was standing in the doorway of the waiting room and whistled, with a lazy smile on his face, which caused several women to shout.

“Ah, beautiful ones, are you ready?”. A deep, soft voice rang out, “The interview is about to start soon!”.

“Mr. Brooks! Mr. Rowland asked you to start setting up the meeting room immediately.” The secretary, Miss Hines, tugged at Liam’s shirt. If Liam showed himself there at a time like that, it would certainly affect his company’s name.

Sherry didn’t go over to look, but stayed in her corner. She felt she didn’t fit in with the crowd. But her conservative outfit attracted Liam’s attention, perhaps because of the fact that she was standing in the corner, alone. She was a beauty and her skin was so pretty!

But, those clothes, didn’t fit the day at all.

“Mr. Brooks, Mr. Rowland will be there in a second.” Miss Hines, who was in her forties, said again.

“All right, Miss Hines, if you think you’re in menopause, let me know, I’ll give you some medicine.”

“Naughty boy, you think I’m too much of a nuisance Ah?”. Miss Hines looked at the applicants who clearly looked like they wanted to laugh, and said to Liam in her cool voice, “Alright, the interviews will start soon, get ready.”

Liam cast an enticing glance at the crowd and then went to the meeting room.

Just, at that moment, the elevator door opened and William walked towards them, behind him were a couple of judges. They were chatting as they walked towards the meeting room.

“Wow, how handsome!”. All the hopefuls gasped.

Sherry turned her head toward to look unconsciously and saw a tall, thin person. Just looking at the way he was dressed, his suit fit him perfectly and impeccably, she felt he must have a morbid fear of getting dirty.

Then, she heard Miss Hines calling names, “First interviewee, Sherry Murray?”.

“I’m here!” Sherry shouted and threw her hand in the air.

They all turned to look at her and saw her dressed in her gray pantsuit, although she was not made up, her skin looked flawless. Her clothes alone left no room for comment. They all looked at her with contempt, how could she come to an interview at the Rowland Group dressed like that?

Sherry lowered her head and followed Miss Hines into the meeting room.

Inside, the men were sitting in a row, the one in the middle had his head down as if he was thinking about something. The sun was shining through the window at an angle that he couldn’t see the man properly. But from what she could see, she knew he was undoubtedly handsome.

“Miss Murray, looking at your resume, Are you an excellent student in the Finance Department at T University? You’ve had many jobs, so you must have a lot of experience?”.

The interviewers asked her very professional questions, and Sherry’s answers won the acceptance of all of them. Meanwhile, William, who had been looking down the whole time, raised his head to look at her with narrowed eyes, and locked his gaze. Sherry lowered her head slightly.

There was a moment of surprise, when William asked, “Your name is Sherry Murray?”

“Yes.” Sherry affirmed.

Everyone present was stunned, why would the President of the company ask her such a trivial question?

Liam frowned and turned to look at William.

But William’s sharp eyes settled on Sherry with a complicated expression, wandering for a moment.

The others were still waiting for Mr. Rowland to ask more questions, but there was only silence.

Liam kicked him under the table.

William finally restrained himself again, “Miss Murray, I have no more questions, you may go. We will telephone you if you have been accepted.”

What, Sherry didn’t know what he meant, so she followed his instructions and left.

“What’s wrong with you?” Liam couldn’t hold back his question after Sherry left the room, and asked her in front of the other participants.

“It happened,” William said and stood up.

“Hey! Hello? The interviews aren’t over!” shouted Liam after him.
